Everything you should know about Eureka Vacuum Belts
There are two different situations in which you could find yourself having to change Eureka
vacuum belts. The first of these is if the existing belt unexpectedly breaks.
If you have a problem with your vacuum cleaner then this is one of the very first things you should look at, as it
is among the most common problems with Eureka vacuums, or indeed any brand of machine.
Another possibility is that you are carrying out the recommended maintenance work on your
system. The Eureka website gives details of when it is recommended to do this and to keep your vacuum cleaner
working perfectly you should plan on changing the belt every six months or so. I always choose easy to remember
dates like the first of January and the first of July to carry out this kind of general maintenance work although
you might want to note in the user manual when you expect to have to do this simple task.
The most popular accessories which vacuum owners look for are new bags to collect the dust in.
Next in line come the replacement belts. If you have a bagless model then belts are going to be your main thing, so
it is worth finding out how to buy and change them when you first purchase your cleaner.
A common misconception is that any problem with a vacuum cleaner means that a replacement vacuum
or a trip to a repair shop before being able to clean your floor again. Before considering these expensive
possibilities you should have a look at the belt first. The sight of a broken or badly stretched, deformed belt
should be a relief to you, as this means that you can replace it yourself without much cost or hassle.
When it comes to actually looking for Eureka vacuum belts you won’t have any problems provided
you stick to a couple of basic rules. Vacuum belts are among the most widely available cleaner parts and being one
of the most well known brands means that there are plenty of places selling Eureka belts. You should always look
for Eureka branded belts.
Before searching for belts you will have to locate the model number of your machine. Look on the
bottom of the cleaner, or round the back, for a little silver plate and jot down the details. The model numbers all
have the same format and start with four numbers, then a couple of letters followed by a long number. The initial
four numbers and the subsequent letters are all you need to know in order to buy your Eureka vacuum belts. The
final, long sequence of numbers is the machines serial number, which is not needed for replacement part
purchasing.
Eureka vacuum belts are easily available on the internet and in stores. Generally they come in a
pack of two belts and buying a couple of packs at a time means that you can forget about buying more for a couple
of years. Just don’t forget where you put the spare pack.
